COG Thread Lift

A minimally invasive thread lift repositioning sagging facial tissue using barbed dissolvable threads for an immediate lift and long-term collagen response.

A protocol,

not a session.

STEP 01

Specialised threads are placed into the deeper layers of the skin. These threads have tiny barbs that anchor into the tissue.

STEP 02

The threads are gently adjusted to lift the area and restore structure. The effect is visible immediately.

STEP 03

The presence of the threads stimulates your body's natural collagen production.

STEP 04

Results continue to develop gradually as collagen builds. The threads dissolve on their own. The collagen they stimulate stays.

Duration

Per session

Most people see the full effect around the three month mark. The threads dissolve over six to eight months. The support they create lasts longer.

Downtime

1 to 2 weeks

The first few days can come with some swelling, which may slightly affect how it looks. As this settles, typically within one to two weeks, the result becomes clearer and more natural.

Recovery

3 months

Collagen starts building around the threads over the next few months which improves skin quality and helps maintain the lift.

Common questions about

COG Thread Lift

What happens if I do not like the result?

+

Unlike fillers, threads cannot be dissolved with an enzyme. However, if asymmetry or an uneven result occurs, it can often be addressed with a small adjustment. This is one reason choosing an experienced medically qualified practitioner matters enormously.

Is a thread lift painful?

+

The procedure is done under local anaesthesia, so the actual insertion is not painful. Some people feel mild pressure or a pulling sensation as the threads are positioned, but it is generally well-tolerated. Any soreness in the days following is manageable with standard pain relief.
